At Harish Lab, we study the mechanics of materials through computer modelling and experiments. We address fundamental questions and tackle critical challenges in the field of mechanics. Join us in our journey to push the boundarises of mechanical and aerospace engineering!
Founded at the University of Manchester, Harish Lab has pioneered research in developing of computational methods using classical and novel computing methods for applications in solid and fluid mechanics.
Quantum Computing
We are exploring quantum algorithms to surpass classical computing limits in simulating quantum-scale interaction in materials to understanding chaotic fluid dynamics.
Data-driven Computing
We develop data-driven methods, particularly graph neural networks and uncertainty quantification to investigate applications of mechanics in biomedical engineering.
Classical Computing
We developed numerical models using finite element method to study problems related to design of advanced materials, fluid-structure interaction, and biomedical engineering.
We provide students and researchers with unique opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research, develop critical skills and contribute to advancements in application of computer methods in engineering.
